On Saturday April 14 and Sunday April 15, 2012, Jenna presented her powerpoint presentation about the goals and opportunities to discover in the Worship and Music Mission Group. Below you will find a PDF of the presentation.

The main ideas of this presentation was to help the congregation become familiar with the three basic tenants of Lutheran Theology. These three core beliefs are what drive our involvement in Worship and Music.

1. The Law and the Gospel
The Law describes what God demands and expects of us. The Gospel describes what God gave for us.
2. The Theology of the Cross
This describes how faith and our relationship with God is not about us, but what it is really about is what God gave for us, his son Christ Jesus.
3. Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion
The Lutheran church celebrates to sacraments in order to build a relationship with Christ. The first, Baptism is a way to start your relationship with God. The second, Holy Communion, is meant to remind us of the sacrafice Jesus made for us, in order to give us everlasting life.

These three tenants help us to grow in our relationship with Christ. And we viewed how these ideas come across in the vision of Grace. Our vision is,
Grace. It's for Me. It's for You. It's for Everyone.

Each of these ideas keeps popping up in how we present them and live them. In the slides that follow, you will see how this vision statement works. We must not only think of how to build our own relationship with Christ, but how different aspect of worship and music help others and the community to build their own relationships with Christ. You see,
we can never dismiss or underestimate the importance a particular aspect of worship might have on the people around us and in the community.Because it's not actually about us, it's that Christ died for us, whether we wanted Him to or not. Celebrating and learning about God is about Him.

Finally, we help disburse these tenants to others through the work we do in Worship and Music. You will find a list of just some of the many opportunities YOU have to be a part of this group. You may also find that you already are a part of this group because of your participation.

So get out your new nametag, put on a green sticker (green symbolizes your readiness to be a partner through Worship and Music) and join us in our neverending duties to celebrate a relationship with Jesus Christ.
